OLIVE FED CERTIFICATION
The Olive Feed Corporation ensures all our farms worldwide sign a contract to adhere to a strict feeding regime of Olive Feed. Each animal is strictly fed a minimum of 200kgs/440lbs of Olive Feed over a minimum of 120 days.
Cheek
Beef cheeks are a cut traditionally braised for a long time to allow the meat to tenderise. With a rich depth of flavour, they are ideal for stews and hearty meals.
Supervision
We perform random spot checks of the meat, testing in a laboratory setting the Oleic Acid, Glutamic Acid, Monounsaturated Fat, and Carnosine Levels to make sure they are in the acceptable range for a Certified Olive Fed Animal. If the farm fails to demonstrate their meat reaches the acceptable range, they are no longer allowed to produce Olive Fed Meat.
Olive Feed comprises 25% of our animal's diet, and this through our years of research and development has been shown to be the critical amount of Olive Feed in order to reach the desired changes in the meat fat profile.

Always look for the Certified Stamp
Unfortunately, there are some companies feeding basic Olive Waste to animals and claiming they are “Olive Fed”, to which studies have shown it is not safe and can cause severe illness to the cattle.
It is important to look out for the Certified Olive Fed Badge when purchasing.
This assures you not only are the cattle being fed with the correct feed that is safe and nutritious but the animals have been treated ethically and were raised in the most humane environment possible.
The Olive Feed
The Olive Feed Corporation invented a process to transform the waste of Olive Oil production into animal feed.
